"Centralization"

I reckon the commercial building scene in Central is awesome. Skyscapers in HK is in fact something that I'm proud of. But I doubt if it's necessary to make everywhere in HK to be Central the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4th, the 5th, the Nth?
Building "Asia's world city" is not about building skyscapers (seriously, can you actually "build" an "asia's world city" by saying those chessy slogan?!!!) Nothing is left when a place has lost its uniqueness. Thanks for scholars like 龍應台 who gives us alternative views for "how to build a asia's world city"

For some reason, the article attached is showing some mystic script, I wonder if it is just my computer.

I think when Hong Kong developers build skyscrapers, all they had in mind was indeed money rather than trying to create an asia whatever city. Not to mention how much they care about what HK looks like. The land tax in HK is crazy, we are talking about thousands of millions per day (my HK arch friend told me), so in order to gain the best out of it, they take every single sq footage into materialization.

It is sad, and that is exactly why we ask, does the richest person in Hong Kong need to earn that much? Can he just earn a little less to contribute to the well being of HK as a city!? Think of it as a charity! Maybe we can convince the government to name all the public toilets after him just like how he wanted it with the u building!

Sometimes i wonder, do i hate those rich ppl becoz i envy them or what? 憎人富貴厭人貧?

The thing is our government still think in a colonial mentality, they think earning money in the shortest period of time is our (their?)ultimate goal, they don't give a shit to growth of HK in the long run.

money money money!!!! we don't need whatsoever cultural centre in western Kowloon, just build us a museum of money will be great, with golden toilets and stuff! haa
